My wife is a little worried that the sensor is too big and that our daughter won't want to wear it. Any comments of suggestions? I figure that the better we can help our daughter control her disease through to adulthood the less likely she will be to have complications.
Is the site as sensitive demanding as a pump site? Anyplace other than the tummy doesn't work for our girl.
To be honest, for someone your daughters age it most likely will be hard to find spots for the CGM. But to be honest with you, I have never had issues with it. I have gone past the seven days without running into any of the normal problems that I mights from an infusion set past its prime. Again, though it is not all that noticeable for me. Granted I am also probably 3x the size of a ten year old girl.
