Have you ever... EVER lied about your blood sugar and why did you do itt

I agree with Sarah about the lying to other doctors about the numbers. It is just easier, especially if it is a higher than normal or lower than normal number. I think one time my dentist asked me how I was feeling and what my sugars had been like as of late. Maybe he found all the left overs from the peanut butter cups I have eaten in my mouth or something.

I used to do it when my sugars were real high and then i would say they were a little lower so my parents wouldnt be as angry with me.

I've done it a few times. Mostly to the nurse at school because if I have a low at lunch she makes me sit inside the health office the entire lunch and treat it. So if it's low i usually just tell her it's fine and go to lunch and then take care of it. I've also lied a few times to my parents . Making my numbers lower than they actually were. My mom alwyas freaks out when i'm high so i try not to clue her in haha

It's amazing what we do to avoid getting into "trouble". However, we need to be careful especially if we are lying about being low or not. Because we do need to treat the lows relatively quickly. If nothgn else, let a freidn know so if something happens at lunch they know what the cause is.
