Harry Potter kind of rocks..... a lot

I've read both series and while I enjoyed each, I prefer Harry Potter.  I found Harry Potter more well written and crafted by far.  I enjoy the HP movies, but of course the books are better!  The Twilight movies make me want to bang up head against a wall.  I'm curious to see what they do with Breaking Dawn though.  They're really going to have to tone it down to give it at PG-13 rating.

BTW, my favorite HP book is the Prisoner of Azkaban.  :)

Well......I am finally back from a visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal in Florida!  I will definitely attach some pics later for all of you Harry Potter Fans!  Rode the best roller coaster in the world!  Waited one hour to ride!  There was a wait for the actual ride of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...the one where you actually feel like you are flying on a broomstick!  The wait was over 3 hours and our excursion would have left us in Florida if we didn't get back on the ship!!!  So, couldn't do that one:(  We actually had to wait in line just to get into the world of Harry Potter.....it was crazy!  Had Butterbeer!!!  So Awesome!  Two souvenir cups with butterbeer cost $26!!!  Butterbeer actually tastes like really good cream soda with the best marshmallow on top!!!  Sooo goood......had to take a lot of extra insulin to cover!  But so worth it!!  There were many people from England there to experience it!  Talked to one girl.......she waited in line for 7 hours for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!  But I guess if you are from England, you would wait an eternity!!!  If you have the chance, in a year or two when things settle down a bit, you should definitely visit!!  Take lots of $$$ with you!

way cool, angela. thanks for sharing.

Ok....so I am not a techno wizard.....can anyone tell me how to post my pics to this post?   C...can you help me out?  I really want to share the pics of Harry Potter!!!

the only way i know how to do it is to upload the photos to photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) and then copy and paste the photos into juvenation. that's how i always do it. or if you have them uploaded to facebook or some other website, you can highlight, copy, and paste the photos into juvenation.

sorry, i'm not all that techno either :o( hope this helps you out.

I really want to go to the Harry Potter park in Florida, but my parents don't think we can afford it... We are going to take a trip to Disney around Christmas, but we are not sure if we can go...

Has anyone read the Harry Potter books recently? I'm rereading the Goblet of Fire to the end becuase I havent' read them for a while...

i live in florida and we are going to Harry Potter world in a couple weeks :) LOVE harry Potter <3

ok, so who saw the movie? likes? dislikes? Any tears?

I reread the 7th book before seeing it, which was really good so I could refresh my memory. Personally I thought the movie was great!!  :)

The movie was awesome, but I still love the books better. It's one of the best. My mom has been waiting since the 7th book came out to see Momma Weasley get a hold on Bellatrix Lestrange.

I thought the movie was good. I didn't think they did justice in the movie to how the book ended but they did a good job of capturing it all.

Yeah, a  lot of people told me they were dying to see Mrs. Weasley fight Bellatrix. And I think they focused a lot more on the end battle than I expected (although it's Hollywood, I should have expected that!) I did like the way they kinda ripped Voldemort up like that....although in the book his body is still there and they move it. :P

did anybody on here get into the beta phase of Pottermore?     :)   if you did, add me, my name is StoneStar163  XD    I was soooo excited when I got my welcome email

I have to say i absolutely love the Harry potter series! and as for twilight...eh it really didnt do much for me. I read a much more compelling series than twilight which i couldnt even finish the first twilight book because it couldnt capture my attention long enough for me to get more than 3 chapters in... Every harry potter book keeps my attention the whole time. and thats what gets me to keep reading. :)

I  agree :) Harry Potter is simply a better story, hands down..... that's not to say that I didn't enjoy Twilight, but it's too formulaic for me to love it like I do Harry Potter.     ... I once saw an interview with Robert Pattison where he said that Harry Potter fans are better than Twilight fans because we love and obsess over HP, but we aren't rabid about it :P
