My 9 year old granddaughter was recently diagnosed with type1 and is handling it remarkably well. Fortunately we had all summer to adjust to this new lifestyle, we’ll adjust as well as we could in two months. She is now back in school, 3 days now, and all three days she has found herself in the nurses office at the end of the day for low sugar. She finishes lunch at 12:25 and has P.E. at 1:50, we’re thinking it’s the P.E. that is depleting her carbs and that is why her levels are so low. Any advice from someone who has experienced this would be welcomed and appreciated.
@Trojanboss1 insulin can work 2x as much as you think if you are active after a shot of short acting. Work with her Endo and cde for your best strategy and good luck
