I believe my polio vaccine back in September 1955 had inactive polio virus.
I did get another sugar cube polio vaccine, but I was already diabetic by then.
I had polio when I was about 6 or 7. Thank goodness I did not have lasting effects from it. I developed tp1 when I was 25. I have celebrated 50 yrs last June. Bur to add to the conversation–my diabetes onset was after a bad bout of the flu. My endo told me that viruses tend to bring on the diabetes. I never thought to mention polio, although that was many years prior.
