Diabetes and Obama Care

Nikki & others,

Take note that googling was not considered objective yet using other sources each with their own bias and motive is - and the fact that I called my state representative for the ACTUAL ACA law was ignored.  Your political bias is very evident as is suggesting that those of us who have worked, do work and earned (via Medicare) what we have should now suck it up and accept less care with reduced availability - that is most definitely a political viewpoint.  I have voted for both parties and the fact that I'm passionate about my diabetes and my care is not based on politics but on the fact that the something I work very hard to maintain and control is now going to be greatly impacted in a negative manne.  Even worse, it's impacted by others WHO DO NOT HAVE THE SAME PLAN (they keep their current high end policies).  So, if the ACA is so wonderful, why does the Senate and Congress (and of course the Pres) get to bypass the laws?  Additionally, why do the large unions get to get waivers? Why is this is the promised land in healthcare do the "chosen ones" get to circumvent the ACA?  Why?

Susie,

Because they know their care will be limited.

Randy,

Without going down a political road, which is very hard to do, my comment was not biased in the sence that I am politically active in my community but is biased based on the fact that I have T1D.

Doctors are pushed to the limit now, drug stores do not carry the exspensive medicines because of the cost, I have called my order in for insulin many times and have been told, "That will take a week" Why? Cost....It is very exspensive to stock Humilog at a cost of $140+ per bottle they wait till they have an order then they order it themselves to fill the customers needs.

Now add millions to that system. You tell me, will we be able to get our meds on time? I hope so.
