Autistic son newly diagnosed HELP

Hey folks!  My Son Ian has been just diagnosed with diabetes they are leaning towards Type 1 but not ruling out 2 

 

Is there any videos or sites out there that might show him at his level Age and mentality levels?  Kind of a cartoon type explaination or something easy to understand . He is 13 years old and  I just want to have him understand why we have to change everything

The Pink Panther Diabetes book (now called "Understanding Diabetes") published by the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes is pretty good.  Has solid info for friends and family to understand diabetes, but also has simple drawings.
