Annoying questions
"if they just lived one day in my shoes"
id like to see them put in a cgm sensor! big, thick needle, see it sitting above youre skin... hehehehe!

haha or force them to take shots before every meal OR hook up to an insulin pump, trying to work that attraactive bulge it causes at the waist line LOL

i totally agree!!

I hate when my tubing from my pump is like kind of hanging out and people grab it thinking they're headphones. It drives me absolutely nuts!

The other thing I hate, as many of you have expressed, is when people don't know the difference or CARE TO LEARN the difference Like the other day, I stayed home sick due to pump problems the night before, and my friends knew thats why I was staying home. My friend Joy was talking to my best friend at lunch that day and told her "Why doesn't she just get gastric bypass surgery?" FIRST OF ALL, don't you have to weigh like 200 punds for that? I'm barely 120. SECOND, gastric bypass wouldn't help even if i was heavy.

So the next day, I went up to her to try and explain the difference (educating others is definately the best way to avoid this stuff I guess) and she goes "I don't really care" As a friend, you would think they'd want to know about a HUGE part of your life.

Another thing I hate is when people ask me how much sugar I ate as a kid and tell me I should have ate healthier. GRRR.

Sorry, I feel like I'm rambling, but I absolutely hate when people are so naiive or ignorant.

i hate the questions: does it hurt? and can you eat that?  i'm like yes i can eat it!!!! geez!

but anyway, i was in the nurse's office one day at school checking my sugar (because i'm not allowed to check it in class because apparently some people may be scared or whatever) and this one high schooler walks in and she goes are you diabetic? i said yea. she goes oh i wish i had diabetes so i can poke my finger everyday.  i was like uhhh ok? but she was being serious! i was like you're a freak!!!!!!!!

OMG I TOTALLY AGREE!!

"Hows your diabetes" WHAT DO YOU THINK ?!?!?

HAH at least we have eachother !! -ally <3

OMG I hate it when people make a big deal. Haven't you people seen blood before. And yes I can eat sugar and yes I can play sports and no I don't need to check my blood sugar, I know what I am doing!!! Shut the **** up. Pardon my symbols

OMG, i hate it when my dad like bugs me to test after dinner and i'm high and he thinks i'm doing a bad job, when really its cause i just ate.

"I have diabetes."

".....but you don't LOOK obese...?"

'nuff said.

what really annoys me is when im at someones house and there like are you sure you can have this? and im like YES I CAN!!! its sooo annoying!!! or when people go out of there way o get sugar free stuff for me and then i dont eat it cuz i dont have to!!!

What bothers me the most is when people say 'I feel really bad for you' WELL THAT DOESNT MAKE ME FEEL ANY BETTER !! And I agree with Shannon, why do people always ask if I can eat something or not? I'm type ONE! It also annoys me when people are like 'yeah, my grandpa has that' well, is your grandpa healthy? is he fat?

And does it bother anyone when people talk about going to the doctor and getting shots, and how bad it's gonna hurt?

the most annoying part about diabetes isn't the needles-you get used to that. I think it's the comments!

lo, my friend does something similar, but in a nicer way, although I've had some people who tell others that they taught me everything i know about diabetes, and they know nothing, and they arent/werent even my friends... I didnt even know them other then their names, so it was wierd..

but with my friend we'd be in home ec or tech ed last ear, and we'd be extremely bored, or have an emergancy cuz a cute guy in our class just broke up with someone so we need to go to the washroom and fix out makeup and stff. so i walk over to the teacher and ask to be excused for medical reasons, and my friend comes with me "just in case"

But while im in the washroom I always check my sugar and make sure Im ok anyways. and when my sugar does feel of we just do the same thing. shes an awesome friend and would never say something against my diabtes.. she does however get a kick out of teasingly dissing me and randomely punching me in the stomach. dont ask me why its just what she does with everyone, but If you know her enough you'd understand and know she doesnt mean anything, and if she really hurts you she apologises right away.

no bff's though. Im without one at the moment, I left my old best friend because she ditched me twice for her bf ( im meaning as in she gets a bf, and totally ignores me and expects that whenever her bf is buzy that I will drop everything to chill with her) the first time she did this I explained how it hurt me and she didnt care, after she dumped him she apologised and I accepted, then she found another guy and did the same thing, and told if I could get a guy id be the same way. and that was a low blow for a BFF so i told her if she didnt want to appreciate me for myslef or care about my feeliing that I really dint want to be her friend anymore. so I ended it, and Im glad to have. you dont need someone who puts you down. she now regrets it though, and shes spent the last 4 months trying to regain my trust, but i wont talk to her.. I think I'll give her a 3rd chance in september. but she cant ditch me for her Older current bf or Im out.
