About me? I am a male born in 1953, married, two children. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 19. I have had a very active life style and endeavored to triumph over diabetes to the best of my ability. My recent A1c’s have been in mid 6 range.

The early years of my diabetes were in Canada where there was great diabetes research/knowledge and diabetes training clinics.

I was first initiated on an insulin pump, an “AutoSyringe AS6MP”, in early 1980’s (don’t remember the exact year), it was a real “brick” a dinosaur by todays standards. Since then I have migrated thru several Medtronic pumps, and have now started on the Medtronic 670g in Sept. 2018.
