Hi! I am a wife to the most amazing man and we have 3 beautiful girls ages 14, 11 and 9. Unfortunately, on September 24th, 2018 our youngest was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, lets just say for our family, life has been an emotional rollercoaster since.
We live in a very small town, our daughter is (well WAS -since she is doing virtual learning from at home) the only diabetic in her school…making her feel “different”. If we could find a “online t1D friend” around her age (again, just in case she is 9yrs old…will be 10 in March) they could chat, play online games and just be there for each other since they would both know how the other is/has/might /could feel whether it be a good day or one of those not so good bad days!
