I am the parent of an 8 year old boy who has been recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We are currently using the Basaglar Pen (7 units at bedtime) for his long lasting insulin and the Novalog Pen .5 for every 10g carbs) for his fast acting insulin. My son was diagnosed in mid February 2021, so everything is very new to us and we need help in every aspect of raising and caring for a child with Type 1.
