I’m just a kid with Type One Diabetes trying to find some peace with my disease. My parents and peers are supportive, but no one gets me on a Diabetic level. So, I thought I’d come here to relate, talk, and just feel better about it all.
Anyways, I was diagnosed in November 2015. I’ve had Diabetes for 4 years now. Since then, Novembers have always been a nostalgic month for me. It reminds me of the horrors of first being diagnosed and how I didn’t understand, commit, or take it seriously. November is also Diabetes Awareness month, so that’s a coincidence.
A few fun facts about me: I like giraffes. They are my favorite animal. Green is my favorite color, especially emerald green. I’ve only taken insulin through needles, never through pumps. I was recommended injections instead of pumps when I was first diagnosed.
If you read that all, thank you, I appreciate it. I’m glad you read a little bit about me. I hope every day you are doing your best because I can’t promise you every day is going to be perfect.
