Hi all. I’m a T1D for the past 36 years. My diagnosis came in the year that my mom died, I got married, and I moved to a new house. They say that these are the top 3 stress-inducing events and that stress can bring on T1D. Call me textbook.

I live in the Boston area with my wife and adorable rescue pup Moofie. My kids are grown and leading their own lives now. Fortunately, we still get to see them fairly frequently (my son’s a lawyer in downtown Boston, and my daughter’s a 4th-year medical student at Tufts University). I work for Thermo Fisher Scientific as a business manager in the semiconductor test industry and love my team. My job takes me to far off places fairly often (Asia, Europe, Western US) which makes control a bit of a challenge. In spite of all that, I have not had any complications yet, and my A1c is generally 7 or less.

I’m open to having discussions with anyone that’s interested. The topic does not have to be T1D - I’m also interested in a lot of other things!
