Diagnosed with Type One in February 1946 (as best I can remember) and went for about 40 years before I had any real help from a blood glucose monitor (tested urine during these years) which did not help too much. Got a pump at the urging of my Type One daughter who had one and have loved the pump since. Have also had Celiac disease since the 1970s and my daughter also has Celiac (gluten-free diet). Have used the Baylor College of Medicine for over 25 years and have been very satisfied with their services. No complications to date. Use a Medtronic 630 pump and a Dexcom G5 CGM. My wife and I love to travel and have just about run out of rivers in Europe using Grand Circle Cruise Lines which have been wonderful for my sugar-free/gluten-free diet.
