Hey y’all! My name is Nikki!! I am not a Type One Diabetic, however, my long-time partner is. We were recently engaged on February 29th (whoop whoop ). I’ve always been around diabetes, my entire life, my grandmother was a diabetic, and I watched others in my family deal with having Type 2 Diabetes as well. I’m here to seek some support from other wife’s/husbands/significant others and other T1D who have watched their own loved ones learn how to cope with T1D. I will say that I’ve yet to find really good resources for the partners of T1Ds, when I have found support groups, most are targeted towards families of young children newly diagnosed. Looking forward to finding some new friends and reading all of your stories.
