I am a 36 year old female. I have a 4 year old son, named Carter Cash! I was hospitalized on 7/31/18 with DKA. Didn’t know I was diabetic. Blood sugar was over 700. A1C was 12.7. I spent 2 days in the ICU and a total of 5 days in the hospital. I wasn’t officially diagnosed with T1D until my 1st endocrinologist appointment on 8/8/18. He recommended that I get on the 670G pump. I have been on the pump since September 27th. It has been a game changer with controlling my diabetes. I’m still having a hard time with the diagnosis, as it doesn’t only affect me. I would love to find some people to talk to and even find some local T1D’S!!
