49 yr old, married for 25 yrs, 1 step son, 5 grand kids, “Brittle Diabetic”, living in South Texas (by San Antonio). I have had over 10 TIA’s (mini strokes) so my memory isn’t so great anymore. Been turned down for SSI & SSDI multiple times (help). Blood sugars go from 400 to 40 with no signs or symptoms, but I just started using the Dexcom G6 CGM. I see both sides of the coin, so to speak, good side vs bad side of things. I am a fighter for beating the ‘diabetes is a death sentence’ , but I do get very depressed trying to handle it all on my own.
