I am a 62 yo man, diagnosed with T1D in 1966(T1D for 52 yrs.). I live in the Boston area and have been using a Medtronics pump for more than 5 years. I lost vision in my R eye due to diabetic retinopathy about 10 years. Fortunately my L eye is very healthy. My other long term complications are minimal. My dad was a T1D as is my 65 yo sister (~40 yrs). She is an endocrinologist and helped me decide to get on the pump. I’m interested in the psychological dynamics of T1D. Health insurance is my is my most pressing issue at this point.
