Would like to help my spouse with depression related to type 1

I am really sorry to hear this. When and if he is ready we are here.

this makes me feel bad... hope things goes better soon.

I finally added a bio today, so the story is there too.  To answer your question, no one in my immediate family or any aunts or uncles or even grandparents that have or had diabetes.  The only relatives we know of are my mother's distant relatives and we're pretty sure everyone had type II...  Doctors have never been able to tell me for sure why I developes diabetes, there have been a couple theories: that a virus attacked and destroyed my pancreas or that my immune system attacked and destroyed it...  I was 7 when I was diagnosed.

Do you know much about your husbands sugar levels?  Is he in pretty good control?  I'm sure you've read it, but the sugars affect the mood tremendously.  I put my poor husband through a lot because I have never had very good control... but he's a trooper:)  I also have been having a harder time lately which I'm sure is the long term affects of poor control.  I learned a hard lesson in the past few years, my attitude is my worst enemy.  The worse my attitude gets the worse my sugars get, then my mood and then it starts to affect everyone around me and then I feel bad because it is, and so on.
