Which works better for you? Pump or pen/syringes?

Sorry about the missed placed modifier. In the case of high keytones with high blood sugar test blood sugars every hour to half hour. Give insulin as necessary, prescribed by your doctor. I did not mean to say to give insulin every hour. Really the key point (no pun intended) that I was trying to make is that with keytones, water is your best friend.

Hi Higgins,

I love my Dexcom as well!  It has done so many good things for me - I could literally fill pages with examples.  The most concise way to convey it is to tell you that my A1C pre-Dexcom was 8.2, and my latest one (yesterday, in fact) is 5.8.  HUGE.

The transmitter (which is what I think you're referring to when you say "sensor") and receiver both have a year warranty, I believe.

Kim

I am so excited to hear how much you love the Dexcom! We are getting one for my 8 year old daughter (papers were faxed this morning to the supply company!) because she has hypo unawareness. I have such high hopes that the CGM is going to really help us keep her in target.

@Kim- 5.8!!!  That is amazing! Congratulations!

Thanks, BM!  :)
