I have been high in the afternoons too. Today at 2:30 I tested and it was 300 on the dot! I told the nurse I wanted to re-test and then it was 200. Is that crazy or what! Does your daughter's meter do that? I have tried adjusting it, but then I will run low, because right after I test in midafternoon, I have athletics, which is really intense especially since its track season. All we do is run run run. My legs have been really tender lately. Last night I got 2 heat pads on my legs. Does your daughter have any vision problems? Has she had her eyes checked since after she was diagnosed? I was wondering because a few weeks after I was diagnosed, I started seeing so clearly without glasses, but then after awhile it went back. Good luck on those SATS!
Tina, I didnt get to go to the pump class last friday because I had fifth disease. Dont worry, its just a virus, not a disease(: I had high fever and bright red cheeks for a little over a week. My medicine included frequent testing, freezing wash cloth rub downs, and a couple of ice baths- brrr! Dont forget the Mortin and temperature checks! Ugh, that was a pretty bad week. When I came back to school today the rumor was " I heard you were in the hospital Julia. How are you doing now?" I was like "Haha! Who told you that?" And someone said," Oh, Mr. Garrison told me." Then I said," Thats stupid! The school seceratary sent an email to all the teachers telling them what I had and to send my homework to the front office, not that I was in the hospital. And just to make things clear, I wasnt in the hospital." That is soo stupid! Why would a teacher make up a rumor about that?! Anyway, my pump class is scheduled for June now. Postponed to way later than I thought it would ever be.

I am so sorry to hear that, we had that a couple of years ago and was NOT fun !! We have pump class next month. Did you ask if they had anything before June ? Hang in there !!
I didnt make the appointment, so I dont know if they have one earlier. I am so happy we are having pump classes. It is going to be a huge weight lifted off our shoulders when we get a pump! Yeah, your right. Fifths disease is NOT FUN! How is Abbey? Today my sugars were perfect at school! I feel accomplished for today(:
Hi, just wanted you to know that we contacted the ping rep. and the omni pod rep. It was nice that they both came out and talked to us about the pumps. I like the onmi pod because you are not connected to any tubes. Also you can swim and not have to worry about disconnect or swimming with the tube and pump. You might want to explore your options. I have to say when the ping rep. came he had us sold...and then I talked to the Omni pod rep. and was very impressed. We have pump class on Friday, we are so excited !!! Abagail hasn't been feeling great today, have you had a sick day yet ? She was almost 400 but no ketones so we will wait and see what happens. We haven't had a sick day yet !!
