i was just wondering......if a human has diabetes, then is turned into a vampire, what happens ??? they cant have diabetes, because of the whole non-changing thing, but it doesnt make sense the diabetes to just go away either..this is about twilight vampires, not any other kind.
Hmmm, I think diabetes probably would away. The vampire venom would kill the person and I'm guessing every organ and antibody as well. It is mentioned in one of the books that they don't even breathe, they just pretend to so they appear to be alive, which means their lungs don't work and I'm guessing nothing else works either. Maybe it was in "Breaking Dawn" when Alice was teaching Bella how to appear to be human after she changed. Anyway, that's my opinion. :)
you're right, trish. they don't breathe and they don't eat--therefore, they wouldn't digest food, so a pancreas would be useless anyway. they are alive only in appearance.
thanks :)
maybe it would..... Drcula is cooler than Twilight :)
Umm I think that maybe the cure for diabetes is being turned into a vampire! lol. Who knows it could work. lol. :)

I do. That would be tight.
if everyone else lived forever, i'd be okay with it. but having to watch everyone around me die, would be tough.
I suppose but I guess death doesn't bother me.
i come from a huge family. death happens, but it never gets any easier.
I do too but I suppose I lack a soul therefore I'm lacking in the area of compassion
ha. you have a soul... it's just all black and crippled. :D
that could be, valid point

Another T1 told me about this book called SweetBlood by Pete Hautman. The book has a rather cool theory about Diabetes and vampires. I recommend it to any T1 who likes vampires. It is a clever/cute story. It is a YA novel so it is a pretty quick read.
I read Sweet Blood. I liked her theory about diabetics and vampires, but I'm a parent so I was disturbed by the guy who had the parties.
I finally saw "New Moon" and it kinda sucked. The book was good and the movie was disappointing.
