Went to endocrinologist and she told me guardian has a new sensor called the connect, does anyone use this new sensor any feedback??
Thanks
Hi Helen,
The Guardian Connect system uses the same Guardian 3 sensor that is used with the Medtronic 670G insulin pump, so anyone who uses that sensor (myself included) can speak to the sensor performance, but not necessarily to the unique features of the standalone Guardian Connect system. If you’re already on a pump, particularly if it’s a Medtronic pump, I don’t think you’re part of the intended audience for Guardian Connect because it will not connect with any current pump.
Regardless, if you want to learn more about it, the link above or Medtronic’s own page here might be of use. I hope this helps!
Hi there. Not sure if you’re still looking, but my son started the Guardian Connect a week and a half ago. My daughter has the 670g (which also uses the Guardian 3 sensors, but not the GC transmitter, so no connectivity). So far it’s been pretty nice. I WISH we had this connectivity for my daughter’s 670g. It’s great to be able to keep an eye on his BG while he is at school. Sensor wear doesn’t last the entire 7 days usually, but Medtronic has a simple online way to get a replacement if it doesn’t last 7 days.
