I was visiting my son who is type 1 as am I. He works with another type 1. The weather was a huge low pressure storm with tons of snow. All 3 of us had to lower our short acting insulin to prevent going low! It was a very distince and unusual pattern. As the low pressure ended we all went back to normal doses of short acting insulin. Strange.
Was this just a coincidence or is there something about low pressure that affects blood sugar? Has anyone else experienced this pattern?
Fascinating… I have not yet experienced that with lows, but I do get headaches with changes in pressure, so it is certainly plausible.
