But because of that only the genuine live in iowa :)
I am a Music teacher and I also work in the main office. The boy I care for is a student there. We're a small, private school and we don't have a school nurse, so the boy's mother trained me and two others on his pump and general diabetes information. I'm always learning something new. I also take him to church from time to time. I've had to give him injections a couple of times. Such an extraordinary kid!!! I just walked on his JDRF team last weekend. We were the top family team! Just found out today. :D
I sometimes go 4 days out of laziness or forgetfulness, but never more since I only fill my cartridge with a little more than I normally need for three days... Specifically so I'll know it's time to change.
Well my son has Diabetes Type 1 so all I can let you know is what I do with him and what I have experienced with him as well. I try to change his site at least every two days. Sometimes it stays in for three and then I notice that his sugars start going high and it just doesn't work the same. It seems he needs it changed every second day to maintain somewhat controlled sugars. I also know of some people not having the proper medical so they try to make their site changes last longer.
