Bedtime

Perhaps also a support group of people w/ T1?

Good idea! I will look for groups!

Iā€™ve seen Facebook groups mentined on the forum but havenā€™t looked into them so I donā€™t have details. You never know what you might find.

Thanks, Iā€™ll look there, too. On the other hand, I donā€™t think I want Facebook to know my business.

Do you know how your body reacts to short-acting insulin - i.e. how fast it starts working, and how much a unit brings down your glucose? If so then you can experiment (conservatively, and then progress from there) with injecting some short-acting insulin before bed. I do this frequently - probably 3x/week. I learned from Dexcom (which I actually donā€™t use anymore, but it was totally worth it to learn stuff when I did) that Humalog starts lowering my levels in 30 mins., itā€™s most potent 1.5 hours after injecting, and at night 0.5 units will bring my levels down about 25 points, depending on how much Humalog I took and how soon prior. (In the morning Iā€™m less sensitive to insulin, so if I was, say 125, I take 1 unit, which would bring me down about 35 points.)

Anyway, I would just try experimenting and see what works for you, especially if you have a CGM.
